• A gentle and poetic world unfolds, where the boundary between humans and animals is warmly blurred.

Since childhood, Tomoko Matsubara has had a deep love for dolls.
During her university years, she began creating bisque dolls and Ichimatsu dolls.
In her thirties, she managed several classes and studios, holding numerous solo exhibitions and group shows to present her work and that of her students.

Living closely with her pets — whom she regards as true family members — she has always cherished a life of coexistence with animals.

After spending 21 years with her beloved cat, who passed away peacefully from old age, she welcomed a new kitten into her home.
This experience became a turning point, inspiring her to combine her long-cultivated skills in dollmaking and kimono creation to begin designing kimonos and dresses for pets.
At the request of friends overseas, she began commercializing her creations, which have been highly acclaimed.
